How It Works — Automower® works a lot like a robotic vacuum cleaner… just outside!

1. Our team install Automower® and its charging station and place a boundary wire around the area to be mowed.
2. Every day, Automower® mows the outlined area, moving in a random pattern to make sure it gets every last blade of grass.
3. When Automower® gets close to the boundary wire, it receives an electronic signal letting it know not to stray out of bounds - so you won’t find it wandering around at the neighbour’s house! This guide wire can also be used to lead Automower® through narrow spots and tricky areas.
4. If Automower®  bumps into a tree or piece of garden furniture, it’ll simply turn in a different direction and keep going. It has a collision sensor and is designed to regularly handle gentle bumps.
5. Once Automower® has finished for the day, it returns to its charging station, ready to head back out tomorrow.
Automower® looks after itself: it’s built to be tamperproof, and if it’s taken from the property it immediately locks, activates an alarm, and shows you its position using built-in GPS (on selected models).

Installation

The installation process is simple: just book a time for a GreenGear specialist to come out to your property for an initial assessment.
Once we’ve confirmed that your property is the right fit for your preferred Automower® model, we’ll set up the boundary lines, get your Automower® up and running, and show you how everything works. It’s that simple!
